welcome

Welcome to everyone that wants to share with me these experiences picked up through almost 5 years lived in this wonderful tourist destination.
I will tell you my very personal opinions on hotels, restaurants, bars, discos, activities as the fishing, golf, excursions… anything that can enrich your trip to Varadero. This photo that I am publishing will give you an idea of the magnificent sunsets that you are going to live. When the sun begins to fall the sky is illuminated of yellows, red, violet… perfectly defining the clouds that always stand out in the horizon. Sometimes sun rays filtering between clouds create a magical effect.
What a sight!

from Varadero to Santa Maria keys

In order to arrive from Varadero to key Santa Maria by car we will leave Varadero heading to Cardenas, a time we will see a crossing with a two way street with two tracks each, there we crossed it and we keep on straight, we will cross several streets until arriving at another important crossing we will turn here to the right, we keep on straight and we will see an old Spanish Fort and a sculpture of a giant bicycle.

We keep on straight at this roundabout and we are on our way to Coliseo , we will cross a railway crossing without barriers, turn left on the next crossing heading to Jovellanos, in this city we will see a bridge, when crossing it we turned it to the right again and then left direction of the Isabel we followed all this road until arriving at the crossing with the main highway, turned to the left taking the highway and follow up to Santa Clara.
Arriving at Santa Clara we can take a break in the way to observe the monument mausoleum of the Che Guevara.

We follow our way to Camajuany, we crossed the village and drive to San Juan de los Remedios, from there to Caibarien and here we arrive to "pedraplen" a man-constructed bridge to unite the small keys to the main Island. Here we must pay a toll and we are already in the leg to our final destination.

An advice, careful on the road, do not trust "higways" so there it is frequent finding cyclists, carriages draught by oxen or horses, or to find a good pothole that ruins your trip. Precaution on the Road!

This union of small islands is well-known as North cayería: Brujas Key, Ensenachos key, Fragoso key and key Santa Maria.
Hotels to fit every budget:

the hotel Gaviota las brujas in Brujas key, a small hotel made up of very comfortable cabins. Integrated in the nature of the keys in the middle of a dense mangrove jungle. A hotel for relax, no animation activities nor all inclusive, have a small restaurant that serves the three meals. Cosy and economic, very close to the marina, reason why if we want to enjoy the excursions that organize there is the best election.
